Barnard´s star is a red dwarf star about 5.98 light years away from earth that was re-discovered and named at the height of WW1 by the astronomer E.E. Barnard in 1916. I always thought there is something poetic and profoundly sad about this discovery. It puts so many things in perspective about war, life and death. About how insignificant we are in the infinite universe. This project is from 2016.
